Review: Demokratisk Kontroll (in Czech)

“Švédští Brottskod 11 vydali před pár lety velice slibné demo, doprovázené podařeným zombickým klipem. Sedmipalec na sebe nenechal dlouho čekat a vydání alba bylo logicky nasnadě. V mezidobí ovšem sestavu opustil hyper produktivní basák Jocke a nedlouho po natočení materiálu na tuto desku zemřel jeden ze zpěváků kapely, Nils.

Ovšem nyní již k desce samotné, ta servíruje jedenáctku skladeb divokého d-takt punku, s nasraným zpěvem, adekvátním neméně nasrané politické lyrice. Je to taková jedenáctidílná skládačka plná vzteku a frustrace, ovšem se slušným potenciálem, skrývajícím se v hudebních nápadech, majících své pravzory někde u Discharge, ovšem prošlé třemi desítkami let filtrování skrze následovníky, počínaje Skitlickers či Anti Cimex, přes Disfear nebo Uncurbed až po aktuální hlučné raw punkové smrště. Ano, někdy bývá v té záplavě až přespříliš podobně znějících věcí nelehké oddělit zrno od plev a prakticky o každé desce lze říci, že „Tohle už jsem všechno slyšel“, ale o to v žádné podobě rocknrollu nakonec ani v nejmenším nejde a Brottskod 11 mají to, co k dobré kapele patří. Cit pro chytlavý rif, vlastní ksicht a hromadu energie.  Skladby jako Vakna, Löneslav, Generation stress nebo Skitindustri budiž toho tím nejlepším důkazem.

Další trefa do černého od Phobia Records. Je pro mě otázkou, nakolik bude ještě kapela aktivní v budoucnu, vzhledem k v úvodu zmíněným tragickým okolnostem, je tohle dost možná epitaf za její existencí, ovšem to nijak nesnižuje její úroveň a kvality.

Review: Demokratisk Kontroll by Lockyard

 “After already having released the great Suffer The Pain-EP, Phobia continues to deliver great stuff in form of the long awaited debut LP from Brottskod 11, which sadly also seems to be their last one.

Anyway, Demokratisk Kontroll is no exception from their earlier stuff, the razor sharp riffs, filthy production and super pissed of vocals are all there. Tempo changes are rare, but the ones that they have are just enough to make the album fell varied enough, since it can’t be no longer than 20-25 minutes. The short lyrical explanations that comes with the insert are also something worth pointing out, knowing more detailed what the songs are about definitely makes them more interesting.” 7/10 /H

Releasegig for Demokratisk kontroll

Saturday July 19 we will have our first gig in a very long time in our hometown Östersund. This gig is a release gig for our debut album “Demokratisk Kontroll”. Dråp from Sundsvall will also play and maybe one more band! We are really looking forward to this!

The test presses for “Demokratisk kontroll” has now arrived from Phobia Records!

Updates!

We are thrilled to see that Phobia Records has announced on their website that the “Demokratisk Kontroll” LP will be sent to the pressing plant this week! This means that we will soon have the test presses and soon we will hold this monster in our hands!

We are also, in this moment of writing new material for future projects and begin to mobilize for war on the road again!
